Irish Christmas in America, The Show (2014)

We are excited and proud to announce that Irish Christmas in America, The Show will start in Winfield KS on November 22nd, 2014.  Those who braved the weather to come to the 2013 performance enjoyed themselves immensely.  This year, we expect the weather will be much more favorable so that we can show these wonderful Irish musicians just how great a Winfield crowd can truly be.  Treat yourself and your friends and family to a wonderful night out.  Special options we’re offering this year include Dinner and Show tickets.  Irish fare will be prepared for your dining pleasure by Kathryn’s Fine Dining (Winfield).  Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm at the High School.  The show starts at 7:00 pm.  Enjoy a delicious meal then walk just a few steps to the auditorium, take your seat and enjoy an evening of stunning Irish music, vocals and dance.  Dinner and Show tickets need to be ordered no later than November 15th.  Another option available is babysitting.  If you’d like to come to the show but have little ones that need to be cared for (by trained sitters) contact the Marquee office on 620-402-6688 or by email - marqueepac@cox.net no later than November 15th.

Tickets are available here: Adult $30, Seniors/Students $25.  Dinner is an additional $15 each.

DVDs of Stuart Mossman: A Modern Stradivari are available on our Events & Ticket page

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

A great time was had by all at our event on October 11th - the showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Full audience participation (complete with goody bags that were available from our Concession Stand) coupled with Southwestern College's Campus Players acting along with the movie made for a fun time. The audience judged the "Best Costume" for the event and it was a three-way tie between Jayla Fulsom (Columbia), Ashlee Calaoagan (Magenta) and Krista Scheuerman (Party Girl). Let us know if you'd like us to show this movie again next year!

About Marquee

Marquee, Inc., was formed in March, 2005 as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation governed by a Board of Directors.  The theatre building was donated to the group by B&B Theatre, who had purchased the former Fox Theatre building in 1980, and in 2004 moved their operations from Arkansas City and Winfield to Strother Field.

After several years of preliminary rehabilitation, we have launched an intensive capital campaign to enable Marquee Performing Arts Center to become a reality in downtown Winfield.  When completed, the facility will provide unique opportunities to respect our cherished arts tradition and build upon it in new and exciting ways!  Please take a few moments to explore our website and dream with us as we bring Movies, Music and More back to downtown Winfield.
